need not have to wait for hours in cold weather deciding what to do. Plan in
advance which all places you are going to visit or which adventurous sports you
are going to enjoy. Keep ample time for rest and relaxation. Don't make a
hectic schedule during this season as there are chances of delays due to bad
weather.
·
Pack
smartly: Travelling
during winter season means you have to carry woollen clothes, boots and winter
accessories. Due to which it becomes difficult to travel light but by packing
smartly you can do so. Go for layers instead of carrying one heavy jacket, use
a combination of long shirts, thermals and jackets so that you can wear
according to the temperature in which you are. And you can also repeat these
clothes for a number of days. Put on your jacket and long boots while
travelling and pack your light clothes and regular shoes this will occupy less
space in your suitcase and hence your luggage will be light.
·
Carry
snacks and water: During
the winter season, a lot of energy is used up to keep the body warm so we tend
to feel hungry very fast and crave for snacks. Also during bad weather at times
you get stuck in one place. In this situation you can munch some snacks still
you don't get a proper meal. Do carry chocolates and dry fruits they are the
instant source of heat and energy and helps to keep your body warm. If you are
travelling with children it's better to carry their favourite snacks to keep
them engaged. Carry sufficient water and keep drinking to remain hydrated.
·
Take
care of electronic gadgets: Charge your electronic gadgets before you leave.
Carry charges as the batteries get drained off very quickly during the winter
season. Keep your gadgets in an airtight case or you have to wait till they are
defrosted. Avoid keeping them near heater or dryer as this may harm your
gadget. Always carry a portable charger to stop your phone from switching off
as you will require your phone throughout your journey.
·
Carry
medical kit: Medical
kit is mandatory for every journey but it becomes extremely essential during
winters because during this season people get easily prone to cough and cold
and fever. You may need bandages, antiseptic cream, medical tape, disinfectors,
etc. if you are hurt while enjoying your adventure sports. Medical kit is very
useful to meet the minor emergency so that you can resume back to your
fun-filled activities.
·
Reach
airport before time: During
winter holidays you find all the airports overcrowded. It is very stressful to
stand in long queues and you might even miss your flight if you are planning to
reach on time as there is heavy traffic on roads too. It is always better to
keep enough time in hand if you reach earlier then you can spend time reading a
book or magazine.
·
Drive
safely: Always
check the weather condition before you move out. If there are chances of a
storm or heavy rain avoid going out. Take due care while travelling in winters
as it is accompanied by fog, snow, ice and rain. Get the maintenance check-up
of the vehicle, refill the fuel tank and carry all necessary items required for
the trip.
Exploring
the snow-clad mountains and enjoying the winter sports like skiing, rafting,
snowboarding, zip-lining etc. is so amazing that everyone wishes to do it. But
the winter season is harsh on skin and hair so carry necessary toiletries to
minimize the effect of winter blues on your health. Follow these important tips
