Smart Tips to Beat the Winter Blues While On Your Business Trip!

Business trips can be scheduled any time of the year whether it's sweaty hot summer or freezing cold winter season. During the winter season, we wish to be cosy at houses instead of travelling. It becomes all the more difficult if your travel destination has an extremely cold climate like that of Uttarakhand. But there are amazing hotels near Jim Corbett which provide a warm and cosy atmosphere. Also, there are well-equipped conference halls in Jim Corbett where you can conduct your business meetings. Don't worry about the winter blues and follow these tips to have a wonderful business trip:

Use thermals: For business meetings, your attire weighs a lot of importance. You can't wear heavy ski jackets as it will spoil your smart look. So it is advisable to wear thermals beneath your suit to keep your body warm. It is quite lightweight and comfortable to wear. There are different types of thermals available, they depend upon their heat retention values so choose the one which is appropriate for you.

Use layering technique: On your business travel, you have to keep moving in different temperatures. Sometimes you have to remain indoor under warm conditions like in a hotel room or a conference room and at other times you have to move outdoors in an extremely cold climate for travelling. In such a case, you can put on and off your winter clothes as per the temperature. That's why it is advisable to go for layering technique rather than wearing one heavy thick woollen jacket.

Smart accessories: Winter accessories are required to keep your body warm and cosy. During your meetings, you can't put on big scarves on mufflers or wear big boots which are used in snow, as it really looks awkward. Due to the advancement of technology you can get smart winter accessories like heated insoles for shoes which help you to regulate the temperature of your feet with the help of your smartphone. Another important accessory is touchscreen gloves. With these gloves, you can operate your smartphone without removing them.

Take care of electronic gadgets: In winter season due to humidity and sudden change in the temperature a smartphone or tablet may be adversely affected. It is advisable to store your phone in an airtight case when not in use. Avoid placing your phone near the heater or the dryer as it may harm it. During winter season your batteries get drained at a very faster rate so carry a portable charger to avoid dying battery. Charge all your electronic devices well in advance as you may require it during your meeting.

Hotel selection: Choosing the right hotel during winter is very important. Book a hotel which is centrally located and easily accessible so that you don't have to travel a lot in cold weather. Make sure there is a good restaurant in your hotel so at times when it is raining you can dine here. Also, if you are exhausted after your hectic schedule and do not wish to go out for dinner you can dine here. Your hotel room should be a perfect place to rest as you need a sound sleep to look fresh during your meetings. Look for that hotel which provides extra amenities like a gym where you can do your workouts in winters or a sauna to keep you warm during this season.

Bond over cocktails: Social bonding is very much required to keep you warm when you are in a company of others. You might be distracted by the feeling of cold and might desire to feel cosy and comfortable. So it is advisable not to shut yourself in a hotel room during the evening hours after work. Instead, make bonding with your colleagues or clients in the lobby bar or the restaurant.

Plan your meetings: While planning your meeting you need to keep a sufficient time gap between the two meetings. You can decide this time gap keeping in mind the distance and the time taken to travel during the winter season. And for this, you can enquire from the local people or view in the Google map.

Whether it is rain or pain you have to perform your duties. You have to be prepared for all conditions and travelling especially during the winter season is more difficult as the temperature is quite low, the air is cool and freezing and there are rain and snowfall around. But don't worry, follow the above tips to beat the winter blues and have a successful business journey!
